DICKINSON, K. Mike – of Clio, age 68, died Sunday, April 19, 2015 at McLaren of Flint. Funeral services will be held at 11 AM Wednesday, April 22, 2015 at Bethany United Methodist Church, 353 Vienna St. in Clio. Rev. Dr. John D. Bailey officiating. Burial in Great Lakes National Cemetery at 2:30 PM. Friends may call at the O’Guinn Family Funeral Home in Clio on Tuesday from 1-8PM and at the church on Wednesday from 10AM until time of services at 11 AM. A Masonic Memorial will be held at 7PM Tuesday at the funeral home. Contributions may be made to Clio Cast and Crew or Bethany United Methodist Church.
Mike was born March 23, 1947 in Bloomfield, MO to Ivan and Rosa (Pruitt) Dickinson. He lived in the Clio area most of his life. He was a 1965 graduate of Clio High School and earned his Associates Degree from Mott Community College. Mike married Linda Raymond on July 25, 1970. Mr. Dickinson served in the US Army from 1967 to 1970. He retired from GMSPO in 2000 with 34 years seniority. He was a member of Bethany United Methodist Church, Past Master of Vienna Lodge #205 F & AM, Member of American Legion Post #128, Gordon R. Bennett VFW Post #1452, Clio Cast and Crew, Patriot Guard, former Vienna Township Trustee and was a lay speaker at Bethany Church. He enjoyed bowling, fishing, hunting and traveling.
Surviving are: wife, Linda; daughter, Andrea (Craig) Stochowitz of Millington; grandson, Luke Stochowitz of Millington; mother, Rosa Dickinson of Clio; sisters: Lonna Gearhart of Burton, Joann Dickinson (husband Clay Curtis) of Clio; several nieces and nephews. His father, Ivan Dickinson, preceded him in death in 2014. The family extends a special thanks to the staff and hospice at McLaren of Flint.
