CAMERON, Robert V. – of Clio, age 66, passed Wednesday, January 23, 2013 at McLaren of Flint. Funeral Mass will be held at 11 AM Saturday, January 26, 2013 at Saints Charles and Helena Catholic Church. Burial at Flint Memorial Park. Friends may call at the O’Guinn Family Funeral Home in Clio on Friday from 2-8PM. He will lie in state at the church on Saturday from 10 AM until time of mass at 11 AM. Contributions may be made to Saints Charles and Helena Catholic Church or Disabled American Veterans.
Robert was born April 10, 1946 in Flint to the late Alexander and Marjorie (Graham) Cameron. He lived in Clio most of his life. Bob served in the US Army from 1965 to 1967 in Vietnam. He married Linda Pike on September 12, 1969. She preceded him in death on September 9, 2011. Mr. Cameron retired from AC in 1989 with 25 years seniority. He was a member of Saints Charles and Helena Catholic Church and the UAW Local #651. He enjoyed sports, bowling, reading, crossword puzzles and spending time with family and friends.
Surviving are: children, Scott (Brenda) Cameron of Burton, Sonya Cameron (fiancé Charles Justice) of Fenton; 2 grandchildren, Gavin and Elissa; twin brother, William Cameron of Gladwin; niece, Tamara (Cary) Grezeszak of Lupton; nephew, William Cameron Jr. of FL; and a host of dear friends.
