PENOYER, Wendy Kaye (Gerald) - Of Flint, age 51, died unexpectedly Sunday, October 4, 2020 at Ascension Genesys Hospital.
Funeral service will be held 1pm Thursday, October 8, 2020 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint,
Preacher Michael Golwitzer officiating.
Burial in Evergreen Cemetery.
Contributions may be made to establish a college fund for her two daughters. Please make checks payable to Todd Penoyer. Contributions may be also made to a charity of one’s choice.
Visitation 5-8pm Wednesday and 12pm Thursday until the time of the service at the funeral home.
Wendy was born in Flint, Michigan on June 27, 1969, the daughter of William C. and Rebecca L. (Miller) Gerald. She graduated from the University of Michigan-Flint, attended Oakland University and Saginaw Valley State University earning Certification as an elementary special education teacher. On April 2, 1994, Wendy was united in marriage to Todd W. Penoyer. They celebrated 26 years of marriage in April. In April of 2001, Wendy was blessed with two daughters, Caitlin Mckenzie and Cassidy Morgan. Wendy has had many occupations in her life from paralegal, to administrative assistant to special education teacher and co-owner of Right of Way driver’s education school. She was a member of the Genesee County Church of Christ. Wendy was also an avid reader and dog lover.
Surviving are husband, Todd;
daughters, Caitlin and Cassidy;
parents, William (Lorraine) Gerald and Rebecca Gerald;
many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Wendy was preceded in death by her grandparents.
