LOONEY, Ronald Ray Sr. - Of Clio, age 64, died Thursday, June 18, 2015 at Hurley Medical Center.
Funeral service will be held 11am Tuesday, June 23, 2015 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint.
Burial in Crestwood Cemetery with a military graveside service under the auspice of Chevrolet Post #3087 Honor Guard.
Visitation 12-8pm Monday and 9:30am Tuesday until the time of the service at the funeral home.
Ronald was born in Ypsilanti, MI on January 10, 1951, the son of the late Charles and Mary Looney. He married Linda Dimond on April 23, 2003 in Las Vegas. Ron attended Mt. Morris United Methodist Church. He enjoyed boating, traveling, especially to Florida, Detroit Tigers and landscaping. Ron retired from General Motors Buick Division as a General Foreman in 2006 after 40 years of service.
Surviving are wife, Linda;
children, Jill and husband Pat Murphy, Ronnie Jr. and wife Kristi Looney, Cassie and husband Allan Pearson, Kelly and husband Steve Lamb and Karie and husband Dion Bean;
grandchildren, Lindsey, Cianna, Kyle, Taylor, Grant, Jacob, Nathan, Riley, Harley, Dylan and Brayden;
great-grandchildren, Haley, Laila and Ashton;
sisters and brothers, Vicky and husband Bill Coons, Charles Robert Looney III, Anita and husband Tom; Charlotte and husband Frank Atherton, Clark Looney and Phillip Looney;
and several nieces, nephews and special friends.
