POWELL, Nancy C. – Of Montrose, age 84, died Monday, November 23, 2015 at McLaren-Flint.
Funeral service will be held at 12 noon Saturday, November 28, 2015 at West Vienna United Methodist Church, 5485 West Wilson Road, Clio,
Pastor Billie Lou Gillespie officiating.
Cremation will take place following the service.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to West Vienna United Methodist Church.
Visitation 1-7 p.m. Friday at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road.
Mrs. Powell will be at the church from 11 a.m. Saturday until the time of the service.
Nancy was born in Clio, Michigan on February 5, 1931, the daughter of Irvin and Lucille (Sears) Curtis.
On August 19, 1947 she married George Powell in Angola, Indiana.
She was a member of West Vienna United Methodist Church. She loved cooking, music, singing and spending time with her family.
Surviving are husband, George;
sons, Larry and wife Linda of Montrose,
Rodger and wife Tansy of Chippewa Lake,
Greg and wife Vicki of Canadian Lakes,
Darwin and wife Pauline of Florida;
39 grandchildren and great-grandchildren;
sisters, Marian Frederick of Clio,
Doris and husband Leo Atckison of Montana,
Charlotte Daniels of Flint,
Linda and husband Fred Sterns of Illinois,
Sharon and husband Charles Tusciuk of Clio;
sister-in-law, Mildred Curtis of Montrose;
many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by many brothers and sisters.
