EICHER, Roland E. – of Flint, age 87, died Friday, October 21, 2011 at Brian’s House in Davison. Inurnment will be 3 PM Wednesday, October 26, 2011 at Sunset Hills Cemetery, Chaplain Eugene Smith officiating. Contributions may be made to Brian’s House or Susan G. Komen Foundation.
Roland was born July 10, 1924 in Lincoln, NE to the late Elmer and Hazel (Hanke) Eicher. He married Lorena Hagemeister in 1953 NE. She preceded him in death in 1986. He lived in the Flint area since 1953. Mr. Eicher retired from E.I. DuPont in 1981 with 28 years seniority. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church and the Lancaster Masonic Lodge in Lincoln, NE. Roland was a pianist and could play by ear. He liked classical music and going to the symphony. He liked going to the Mackinaw Bridge, Port Huron and to Ludington. He also was a photographer.
Surviving are: Daughter, Linda (Robert) Petrie of Clio; Companion, Betty Valentine of Flint; Brother, Kenneth Eicher and sister, Laurene Curtis. Please sign our guest book or share an online condolence with the family at www.oguinnfh.com.
