BARGY, Mary Lou – of Flint, age 86, passed away May 7, 2013 at Genesys Convalescent Center. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11:00 AM Friday, May 10, 2013 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 404 N. Dayton St., Davison; Rev. Fr. Andrew A. Czajkowski celebrant. Visitation will be 4-8 PM Wednesday and 12-3 & 5-8 PM Thursday at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Rd., Davison. A Rosary will be prayed 7 PM Thursday. There will be one hour of visitation prior to the Mass on Friday at the church. Burial will be 10:00 AM Monday, May 13, 2013 at Great Lakes National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made the Kidney Foundation.

Mary Lou was born in Flint, MI on March 9, 1927, daughter of the late James and Myrtle (Braley) Black. She married Merle Bargy on September 8, 1956 in Angola, Indiana. Mary Lou was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, Blessed Sacrament Altar Society and Women’s Guild. Mary Lou taught religious education for over 20 years. She loved to bowl and golf.

Mary Lou is survived by her husband, Merle; children, Michael Bargy, Dennis (Kim) Bargy, Susan (Dennis) McBride, Bethany (Roger) Hartwell, Scott (Insook) Bargy, Mark (JoAnn) Bargy, Nancy (Larry) Verran II, Patrick (Barbara) Bargy, Dwayne Bargy and Timothy (Denise) Bargy; 14 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; sister, Marjorie (Les) Cavell; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Robert, James and Donald Black; Dwayne’s fiancé, Colleen Welsh.
