WILBANKS, Virginia Lois (Shoffner)- age 89, of Fenton, was born December 14, 1930 in Roseland, AR, to Annie and Walter "Buddy" Shoffner. She entered into eternal rest surrounded by her family on Saturday, January 4, 2020. She married Herbert Eugene Wilbanks on October 6, 1946 and together they raised three boys; Curtis of Flint, MI, Terry (Rene) Wilbanks of Huston, TX, and Gregory Wilbanks of Cullman, AL. She enjoyed gardening and tending to her roses, attending church services at More Life Tabernacle, and spending time with her large family. Virginia is survived by her husband, Herbert Wilbanks; three children, Curtis, Terry (Rene), and Gregory; 7 grandchildren, Pamela (Kenneth Pennington), Wendy (Eddie Lopez), Jeremy (Von De Leigh) Wilbanks, Monica (Jason Mathews), Terry (Kellie) Wilbanks, Tiffany (Zach Wells), Jason (Ashley) Wilbanks; and 20 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her daughter-in-law, Karen Garrard Wilbanks. Funeral service will take place 11 AM, Tuesday, January 7, 2020, at More Life Tabernacle, 6430 Lennon Rd., Swartz Creek. Bishop Jerry Stoner to officiate with burial to follow in Flint Memorial Park. Visitation will take place 3 PM to 8 PM on Monday at Sharp Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Rd. Flint and again on Tuesday at the church from 10 AM until the time of service. Those desiring may make contributions to More Life Tabernacle. Tributes may be shared at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com. |
