Carlotta Edmonds – age 90, passed away on August 21, 2020 surrounded by her family in Flint, Michigan. Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, August 26, 2020 at 11:00am in the outside pavilion and on Facebook Live at Brown Funeral Home – 1480 E. Hill Road, Grand Blanc, Michigan. Private interment at Flint Memorial Park. Carlotta was born on June 30, 1930 in Acerra, Italy. When she was seven years old Carlotta came to the United States and at the age of 19 years she became a United States Citizen. On December 30, 1949 in Mt. Morris, Michigan she married the love of her life Frederick Edmonds. Carlotta was full of life. She had a wonderful sense of humor and loved to sing. She was just so much fun to be around and life of any gathering, so spunky and loved by all. She was active in Grace Community Christian Church, Red hats society, and the UAW. Carlotta was a wonderful woman and will be deeply missed. She is survived by her children: Sandy (Dennis) Chaney and William (Debra) Edmonds; grandchildren: Brent (Kelley) Edmonds, Trevor Edmonds (Fiancé, Erica Armstrong), Megan (Keith) Anderson, Lyndsay Edmonds (partner, Julia Ross); great grandchildren: Finn Edmonds and Madelyn Carlotta Anderson; sister, Marie (Ed) Hanley and brother, Mike (Velta) DiGenova; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Frederick Edmonds. Family would like to send a special thank you to the staff of Swank Assisted Living for the love and care they showed to Carlotta. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Grace Community Christian Church or the Alzheimer’s Association in memory of Carlotta. |
