SKURKA, Amanda - Of Grand Blanc, age 91, died Thursday, August 18, 2016 at the Pines of Burton.
Funeral service will be held 1pm Wednesday, August 24, 2016 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint, Grant Roe III officiating.
Entombment in Flint Memorial Park.
Those desiring may make contributions to a charity of one's choice.
Visitation 11am Wednesday until the time of the service at the funeral home.
Amanda was born in Marquette, Michigan on February 7, 1925 and was a resident of Grand Blanc and the Flint area since 1952. She was a member of Local #326. Mrs. Skurka was employed by Coldwater Ternstead for 29 years, retiring in 1982.
Surviving are son, Mylo and wife Lisa Jenereaul, Jr.;
2 daughters, Darlene Richards, Myra Jane Smith and Lee Hungerford;
5 grandchildren, Mylo James Jenereaul, III, Kim and husband John Gatz, Tamera Foster, Shawn and wife Denise Richards and Trista White;
5 great-grandchildren, Marcea and husband Josh Futch, Lauren Foster and Jeremy and wife Brittney Gatz, Dane Ruin and Ryan Brumbelow;
and 6 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Skurka, on March 15, 2001, daughter, Bertha Borgert, sons-in-law, Charles Richards and Charles Borgert.
