LAMBERSON, Thomas G. - Of Flint, age 78, died Friday, September 2, 2016 at Genesys Regional Medical Center.
Funeral service will be held 1pm Thursday, September 8, 2016 at Assumption Greek Orthodox Church, 2245 East Baldwin Road, Grand Blanc, MI 48439,
Father Timothy Cook officiating.
Burial in Glenwood Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Genesee County Humane Society or Assumption Greek Orthodox Church (The Lamberson Endowment).
Visitation 1-8pm Wednesday at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint, MI. A Trisagion Service will be held 7pm Wednesday evening at the funeral home. Visitation 12pm Thursday at church until the time of the service.
Thomas was born in Flint on November 29, 1937, the son of the late George and Rose (Passa) Lamberson. Thomas served his country in the United States Marine Corp. He was the owner and operator of the Peppermill Restaurant, Tasty Coney Island and Bailiwick Restaurant. Thomas was an active member of Assumption Greek Orthodox Church.
Surviving are wife, Crystal;
3 children, Cassandra (Jason Nicholson) Lamberson, Christie (Tim) Bueche and Cynthia (Joe Van Kalker) Lamberson;
grandchildren, Alexandra Rose Klopf, Jacquelyn Rose Klopf, Lucas Thomas Lamberson, Elliot Thomas Nicholson;
sister, Mary Jean “Georgie” (Clyde) Lamberson-Allard;
aunt, Ida Payne;
many close cousins, nieces, nephews and friends;
and his dog, Sammy.
The family would like to give a special thank you to Genesys and Hurley Hospital, The Oaks Rehabilitation Center, Drs Samir Basata, Peddireddy and Reddy.
