LAYMAN, Beatrice – of Davison, age 87, passed away Thursday, June 20, 2013 at McLaren Lapeer Region. A Funeral Service will be held 11:30 AM Monday, June 24, 2013 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Rd., Davison; Rev. Fr. Andrew A. Czajkowski celebrant. Burial will be in Deerfield Cemetery. Visitation will be 4-7 PM Sunday and on Monday from 10:30 AM until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be considered to the Bea Brand Memorial Scholarship Fund at Davison High School in honor of her daughter.

Beatrice was born in Walston, PA on September 14, 1925, daughter of the late Agostino and Alice (Gresack) Belott. She married Ralph M. Layman and he preceded her in death in June of 1986. Beatrice was a charter and long time member of Davison Country Club, since 1964, where she had many friends. Her greatest and most important work was being a mother and homemaker. Later in her life, she was a bookkeeper for Layman Distributing and Clark Equipment.

Beatrice is survived by her children, Ralph (Sally) Layman, Shirley (Eugene) Pierce, John (Lyn) Layman, Susan (Gary) Ferguson,; sons-in-law, Jim Brand and Kelly Trent; many grandchildren; great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by her daughters, Bea Brand and Judy Trent; son, Melvin Layman; two brother’s, Peter and John Belott; five sisters, Rose Ann Soja, Irene Tieche, Marie Belott, Virginia Belott and twin, Pearl Gaffney.
