GIBBONS, John - Of Burton, age 51, died Tuesday, June 18, 2013
at Hurley Medical Center.
A Celebration of John’s life will be held 1-5pm Sunday, June 30, 2013 at Donna’s Donuts, 1135 West Bristol Road, Flint. Open for all who knew him.
Cremation has taken place.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
John was born in Flint on July 12, 1961, the son of Dan Gibbons and Sue (Everett) Deering. He was a resident of Burton and was the owner, operator of Donna’s Donuts in Flint. John was also former owner of Comic Relief. He was a kind and gentle man, always willing to give a helping hand and lend his support by supplying donuts to many charitable functions. He always was ready with a smile and a joke. John was a supporter of the arts and a member of the Thespian Society.
Surviving are daughter, Alicia (Jimmy Sparr) Gibbons;
mother, Sue (Dave) Deering;
father, Daniel (Pam) Gibbons
and sister, Judy Gibbons.
John is also survived by aunts, uncles and cousins.
