Dorothy Lois Williams was born on November 4, 1945, in Flint, Michigan. She departed this life on October 16, 2018. She was the fourth of eight children born to Herbert and Alice Wilson.
Dorothy attended Flint Public Schools graduating from Northern High School. She went on to further her education at the University of Michgan, Ann Arbor majoring in journalism. Dorothy was employed at General Motors, Fisher Body Grand Blanc where she retired after fifteen years of service.
Dorothy married Howard Williams, after his death she later relocated to Ypsilanti, Michigan to be near her children and grandchildren. Dorothy became a member of Strong Tower Ministry; she enjoyed family
gatherings, church, and friends. She volunteered with HOPE Medical Clinic serving the community. She worked as a foster grandparent at the Ypsilanti International Elementary School (YIES) as an assistant to Amy Downer. Dorothy really enjoyed bowling, going to concerts and most of all fried chicken.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her father, Herbert Wilson Sr.,
sisters, Ernestine Clark, Emma J. McCloud, and niece, Valerie J. McGhee.
She leaves to cherish her memory: Daughter, Andrea Renee (Corey) Williams, Son, Andre Thompson of Ypsilanti, Michigan, 6 grandchildren,
6 great-grandchildren, mother, Alice Wilson, Two sisters,
Armertine Mabry, Sherie (Welton) Burrell, Three brothers, Herbert Jr. (Winnie) Wilson, Alfred Wilson and Dewayne Wilson, a special cousin,
Doris Henry, many nephews, nieces, cousins and friends. |

| Public viewing on Friday, October 26, 2018 from 3pm-7pm at the Crystal Fountain Funeral Home. A family hour will be held from 10am-11am on the day of the service at Strong Tower Ministries. |
