KOVACS, Robert M. "Bob" - Age 59, of Columbiaville, died September 24, 2016. A memorial gathering will be held Wednesday September 28 from 4-8 PM at Sharp Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Road, Flint, where friends are encouraged to bring in photo's of Robert to share with his family.
Bob was born March 13, 1957 in Flint, the son of Joseph and Anne (Abraham) Kovacs. He was a 1975 graduate of Kearsley High School. He retired from AC Spark Plug and was a member of U.A.W. Local 651. Bob was an avid and knowledgeable collector and enjoyed spending time with friends at memorabilia auctions. He was a beloved brother, nephew, and friend.
Surviving are: his brother, Joseph Kovacs of Burton; uncles, Ben Abraham of Modesto, CA and Emil and wife Emily Kovacs of Linden; aunts, Alice Birchmeier of New Lothrup, Alvira Vechell of Davison, and Emily Swerdan of Flint; many cousins; and many life long loyal friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents, Isaac and Almas Abraham and Alex and Julia Kovacs; and many aunts and uncles. Online tributes may be posted on the obituaries page at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com.
