FLEMING, William A. – of Clio, age 73, died Tuesday, October 1, 2013 at Concerned Country Care in Montrose. Funeral services will be held at 11 AM Friday, October 4, 2013 at the O'Guinn Family Funeral Home in Clio. Burial to follow in Flint Memorial Park with military honors. Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday from 3-8 PM and on Friday from 9 AM until time of services at 11 AM. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Lewy Body Dementia Association or the PKD Foundation.
William was born on November 2, 1939 to the late James and Mary (Fowler) Fleming. He was a resident of Clio the past 27 years. He served in the US Marine Corps from 1957 to 1963. Mr. Fleming retired from Chevrolet V8 Engine in 2000 with 38.5 years seniority and was a member of the UAW Local #659. He was an avid bowler and enjoyed all sports especially football, baseball and golf.
Surviving are: Dara, whom he has shared the last 27 years; children, Rhena (Brian) Brasier of Howell, Bruce (Paula) Fleming of PA, Rodney (Kelli) Fleming of Grand Blanc, Craig (Becki) Fleming of MD, Trina Colley of Clio; 12 grandchildren, Clarissia, Tim, Kyle, Logan, Alyson, Kayla, Rachel, Marissa, Alex, Chris, Liam and Olivia; many other relatives and special friends. He was also preceded in death by a sister, Barbara Severn in 1999. The family extends special thanks to the staff of Concerned Country Care for the wonderful care they provided him.
