Leonard K. "Joey" Roe, Sr. of Flushing, age 87, died Wednesday, November 27, 2013, at McLaren-Flint. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, December 3, 2013, at Rossell Funeral Home. Pastor Tony Chick will officiate. Burial will follow at Sunset Hills Cemetery. Visitation will be 3-8 p.m. Monday and 1-2 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Joey was born in Montana on February 18, 1926, the son of Bonnie Amos and Martha Turner Roe. He married Margaret D. Stuck. She preceded him in death on April 24, 2011. Joey retired from Buick working as a Pipefitter. He was a U.S. Air Force Veteran.
Mr. Roe is survived by: son, Leonard Jr. and wife Melisa Roe of Flushing; son-in-law, Scott Hill of Flushing; grandchildren, Justin and Jordan Roe, Nickalaus Hill, Nicole and husband Mike McGlinchey; great-grandson, Owen; brother, Neil and wife Denise Roe of Slave Lake, Alberta, Canada; two sisters-in-law, Mary Ann Roe of Canada, Josephine Roe of Flint; brother-in-law, Joe and wife Kathy Deford of Flint. He was also preceded in death by a daughter, Maria Hill, and his siblings. |
