Ronald “Max” Kapture of Davison, age 90, died Friday February 7, 2020 at McLaren-Flint. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 am Tuesday February 11, 2020 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church 404 Dayton St. Davison, Fr. Andrew A. Czajkowski, Celebrant. Private burial will be held at Sunset Hills Cemetery. Family will receive visitors from 10:00 am Tuesday until time of services at the church. Max was born in Flint Michigan on July 9, 1929 the son of the late: John & Florence (Ivey) Kapture and had reside in the Flint, Swartz Creek and Davison area most of his life, spending much of his retirement years in Florida. He was joined in marriage to Ruth Ann Pelkey on October 17, 1953 and she preceded him in death on November 21, 2009. Answering the call of his country Max served in the US Army during the Korean War. He was an avid sports enthusiast and enjoyed playing baseball, blooper ball, golf and a good game of bowling. Max was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, and had owned and operated Kapture Insurance Agency until is retirement.
He leaves to cherish his memory children: Janice (Robert) Gruner, Sandy (Robert) Johnson, Beth (Dennis) Coggins, Michael (Stacey) Kapture, and Thomas (Kerstin) Kapture. He also leaves his thirteen grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, and son-in-law Chad Labby. He is preceded in death by daughter Rhonda Labby, and sisters; Margaret Bowen, Mamie Williams, Marie Kehler. Please share your condolences at www.hansenfuneralhome.net
