ALLMAN, Jerry C. – of Clio, age 63, died Sunday, June 26, 2011 at his residence. Funeral services will be 11 AM Wednesday, June 29, 2011 at the O’Guinn Family Funeral Home in Clio, Pastor Steve Windle officiating. Burial will be at Flint Memorial Park. Friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday from 1-9PM. Contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
Jerry was born April 10, 1948 in Lincolnton, NC to Carl and Thelda (Hovis) Allman. He married Linda Creed on March 4, 1967 and they moved to Clio in 1989. Mr. Allman retired from Chevrolet Metal Fabricating in 2004 with 37 years seniority. He was a member of North End Baptist Church and the UAW Local #659. He enjoyed outdoor activities.
Surviving are: wife, Linda; 2 children, Cheryl (Jason) Benjamin of Mt. Morris, Kenneth Allman of Flint; 2 grandchildren, Amanda and Austin Benjamin; mother, Thelda Allman of Mt. Morris; brothers and sisters, Donna Rierson of Clio, Terry (Karen) Allman of Mt. Morris, Mike (Teresa) Allman of Clio, Carol “Sue” (Bill) Roberts of Mt. Morris; many nieces and nephews.
