DOLE, James Harold - Age 71, of Fenton, died Thursday, September 4, 2014. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Monday, September 8, 2014 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Linden Chapel, 209 E. Broad St. Linden. Pastor Tom Dole officiating. Burial in Fairview Cemetery, Linden. Visitation will be held at the funeral home Saturday from 5-8 PM and Sunday from 1-4 and 6-8 PM. Those desiring may make contributions to the Genesee County Humane Society.
James was born October 17, 1942 in Detroit, the son of Harold I. and Laura F. (Lewis) Dole. He married Glenda F. Bromley June 18, 1966 in Detroit and she preceded him in death December 26, 2009. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He had resided in the Fenton/Linden area for many years, also had resided in Howell for 17 years, and Hartland for 5 years. James retired from Detroit Diesel in 2002 after 38 years of service. He was an avid hunter and outdoorsman.
Surviving are: 3 children, Lynna Brumley and husband Danny of Gaines, Deborah Dole of Fenton, and James E. Dole and Fiancee' Angelique Bourdeau of Fenton; 6 grandchildren, Patrick (Katie), Rachel, and Katie Brumley, Sasha (Curtis) Wildfong, Caleb and Zachary Singleton; 2 great granddaughter, Elliana Wildfong and Braylin Brumley; brother, Tom Dole and wife Bonnie of Westland; and several nieces and nephews.
