GILDER, Desiree N. – of Genesee, age 33, died on Sunday, February 9, 2020 at McLaren Regional Medical Center of Flint. The family will receive visitors at the O’Guinn Family Funeral Home in Clio on Monday from 5PM until 8PM. A committal service will be held at 1PM Tuesday in the chapel at Flint Memorial Park. Pastor Greg will officiate. Memorial contributions may be made to the family for future designation.
Desiree was born June 21, 1986 in Portsmouth, Virginia to Christopher D. and Mary L. (Wiltsie) Hunt, Sr. She graduated from Genesee High School in 2004. Desiree married Chad M. Gilder on May 19, 2011 in Las Vegas, Nevada. She was a manager for 17 years at the McDonald’s in Grand Blanc Twp. Desiree received a “Lifesaving Award” from McDonald’s for saving a customer’s life in 2019. She was amazing at extreme couponing, and would have stores owing her back money. Desiree was kindhearted, giving, and enjoyed taking care of others. She donated most of her goods from couponing to families in need. Desiree enjoyed trips up North to Traverse City and walking along the beach. She was a lover of all dogs, especially her fur babies – Tiger, Otis and Jasmine. Above all, Desiree loved spending time with her family. She will be greatly missed.
Surviving are: Husband, Chad Gilder; Children: Alexis Marie Gilder, and Cash Michael Gilder; Parents: Christopher and Marie Hunt, Sr.; Brother, Christopher (Jackie) Hunt, Jr.; Grandfather, Robert Hunt; Father and mother in law, Wayne and Vickie Gilder; Brother in law, Brandon (Jodi) Warren; Many other loving family members and dear friends.
