TOTH, Jean Arleen - Age 78, of Fenton, died surrounded by her loving family, Tuesday, May 2, 2017. Services will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, May 6, 2017 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Road, Fenton. Visitation will be held at the funeral home Saturday from 10 AM until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, those desiring may make contributions to Adopt-A-Pet, 13575 Fenton Road, Fenton, MI 48430.
Jean was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother; She was born July 22, 1938 in Rogers City, the daughter of Charles Bernard and Grace Viola (Flewelling) Hornbacher. She was a 1956 graduate of Rogers City High School and received a Bachelor's of Arts Degree from the University of Michigan. She married George J. Toth May 13, 1961 in Flint. She resided in Fenton since 1968. Jean was a member of a Quilt Guild and was a master gardener. She also was an avid artist and seamstress. Jean loved life, nature, and had a special fondness for dogs.
Surviving are: her husband of 55 years, George; children, David (Sharon) Toth of Brighton, Maria (Burton) Eichler of Pigeon, and Diane (Sean) Lynch of Springfield, IL; grandsons, David, Connor, Yuri, and Sasha; granddaughters, Sarah (Matthew) and Amanda; brother, Charles (Norma) Hornbacher of Columbia Falls, MT; and 22 nieces and nephews.
