Richard "Dick" Leland Dunigan passed away peacefully with his family by his side on February 23, 2025, in Grand Rapids, Michigan, at the age of 82.
Born on October 07, 1942, Dick was a graduate of Clio High School and a proud Army veteran. He was an entrepreneur at heart, owning and operating numerous businesses throughout his life. Always eager for new ventures, he embraced challenges with enthusiasm and determination. Dick was an undeniable Irish storyteller who loved to entertain with his well-known Irish parties where a good time was inevitable.
A lover of fast cars and unique collectibles, Dick had an eye for the extraordinary. His creativity and craftsmanship were evident in everything he built, always putting his personal touch on his projects. During the summer months, he found joy on the water, spending time on his boat and sharing stories with friends. He especially loved friendly boating competitions with his best friend, Randy, racing to their favorite destinations.
Dick cherished time spent with family and friends, bringing laughter and warmth wherever he went. His generosity and willingness to lend a helping hand left a lasting impact on those who knew him.
He is survived by his children, Robert (Krista), Shane (Amy), and Teri Lynn (Craig) Anderson; his grandchildren, Ashley (Page), Erik (Megan), Drake, and Rylie; and his great-grandchildren, Parker, Lynlee, Laiklyn, and Aceson. He also leaves behind his beloved fiancée of fifteen years, Julie Barnhart.
In accordance with his wishes, Dick was cremated. A celebration of Life will be held on May 17, 2025, at Johnny’s Pour House from 12-3 PM to honor his memory.
