HEAD, Donald A. – of Clio, age 79, passed away peacefully on Friday, July 6, 2018 at home, surrounded by his loving family. Funeral services will be held 11AM Thursday, July 12, 2018 at the O’Guinn Family Funeral Home in Clio. Pastor Dan Shinabarger officiating. Burial in Woodlawn Cemetery. The family will receive visitors at the funeral home on Wednesday from 12PM until 8PM and Thursday from 10AM until the time of service at 11AM.
Don was born August 1, 1938 in Flint, Michigan to the late Ira and Edna (Green) Head. Mr. Head retired from General Motors – SPO in 2006 with 50 years of service and was a member of the UAW Local #659. He was also a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie #629. Don loved baseball, especially the Detroit Tigers. He was also a big Michigan fan. Don was an avid collector of baseball cards and coins. In the summer he enjoyed attending concerts at the Clio Amphitheater. Above all, Don loved spending time with his beloved family. He will be greatly missed.
Surviving are: Children: Kathy Horton, Rhonda (Kenny) Babcock, Don Head, Jennifer (Rob) Hall, and Carrie Wilson (Fiancé Kevin); Grandchildren: Holly (Matt), Stephanie (Sean), Elizabeth (Chris), Kendra, Kyle (Terri), Bryce, Lily, Gracie, Hayden, Olivia, and Liam; 13 great grandchildren and great grandson on the way, Griffin; Siblings: Walt (Jean) Head, Delores Farnham, and Harriet Wilson; Special friend, Mary Head; Many nieces, nephews, other loving family members and dear friends.
