Teddy Joe Hunt, 82 of Venice Township, Michigan, formerly of Paragould, died Monday at his residence. He was retired from General Motors and of the Baptist Belief. He was born on February 10. 1937 to Luther and Emma Sharley Hunt in Paragould.
Ted was a former Policeman with the Paragould Police Department working for 7 years, he was an avid softball player in the senior league. He played until he was 78 years old. He loved woodcrafts, craft shows, gardening, especially his tomatoes and green beans. He dearly loved his three dogs who will miss him. He was a loyal Paragould Bulldog player and most of all, He Loved the Lord.
He was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Blanche Hollowell, brothers, James Roy Hunt and Paul Junior Hunt.
Survivors include his wife, Janice of the home; sons, Mitchell Hunt of Durand, Michigan, Christopher Hunt of Tampa, Florida, Ted “Andy” Hunt of Elsinore, Missouri and daughter Melanie Hunt of Pleasant Grove, California; sister Rheba Hunt of Paragould. Two grandchildren, Chris and Matt.
Visitation will be Saturday from 11:30 – 1:00 PM at Heath Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
Memorials may be sent to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in Memphis.
