THOMSON, Audrey J. - Of Flint, age 92, died Monday, April 4, 2016 at The Village Rehabilitation & Care Community in Armada.
Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, April 11, 2016 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Pastor Jeremy Peters officiating.
Burial in Sunset Hills Cemetery.
Those desiring may make contributions to Hospice of Michigan.
Visitation 9 a.m. Monday until the time of the service at the funeral home.
Audrey was born in Flint, Michigan on June 20, 1923, the daughter of Cecil and Lura (Mick) Maltby.
She married Bryce Thomson in 1944 at the Central Christian Church with Dr. Longman officiating.
For 23 years, she taught in the Flint Public School system.
Surviving are children, Larry and wife Nancy Thomson,
Janine and husband Dennis Asmus,
Rodney and wife Kimberly Thomson;
13 grandchildren, Jody Kendrick, Jason Asmus, Kristopher Asmus, Madeline Bryant, Paul Thomson, Byron Thomson, Joshua Thomson, Colin Thomson, Nina Craig, Evan Thomson, Benjamin Thomson, Ethan Thomson and Andrew Thomson;
also surviving are 9 great-grandchildren and
sister, Jacquline (Ernie) Myers.
Audrey was preceded by her husband, Bryce, in August, 2015, her parents and sister, Shirley E. Ennis.
