GOODRICH, Eleanore M. - Of Flint, age 93, died Tuesday, April 30, 2019 at His Caring Arms Assisted Living.
Funeral service will be held 12 Noon Friday, May 3, 2019 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint,
Pastor Gary Gillings officiating.
Burial in Flint Memorial Park.
Visitation 11am Friday until the time of the service at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Children’s Shriners.
Eleanore was born in Fresno, California on November 26, 1925, the daughter of the late Carl and Katie (Price) Wasmuth. She graduated from Port Huron High School, Class of 1943. On June 21, 1946, she married Dale C. Goodrich in Angola, Indiana and they were married 55 years until his death on November 28, 2001. Eleanore attended Hurley Hospital School of Nursing under World War II Cadet Nursing Program and graduated Class of 1947C. She was employed with St. Joseph Hospital and Hurley Hospital. Eleanore volunteered at the Red Cross Blood Pressure Program and the Acorn Gift Shop at Genesys Health Park. She was also a life member of Hurley Alumni Nurse Association and Flint Women’s Bowling Association where she was the Treasurer for nine years.
Surviving are children, Kathleen Smith, Kristine (Ron) Green and Jeffrey (Mikayla Ward);
Grandchildren, Roxane (John) Kaye, Scott (Stephanie) Green, Ron (Hollie) Green;
Great-grandchildren, Julia and Gracie, Brandon and Tyler and Devon and Sydney.
