TRIBBLE, Josie – Of Flint, age 94, died Saturday, March 19, 2016 at her residence.
Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, March 24, 2016 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Pastor Joyce Johnston officiating.
Burial in Sunset Hills Cemetery.
Contributions may be made to Alzheimer's Association.
Visitation 4-8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Josie was born in Arkansas on July 30, 1921, the daughter of the late William and Sarah (Wooten) Willyerd and was resident of the Flint area since 1957. She married Gerald Tribble on October 25, 1946.
Josie took great pride in raising her children and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Surviving are children, Ronald and wife Gale of Swartz Creek, Janice Banacki of Flushing; Gregory and wife Mary-Anne of Flint;
grandchildren, Tracey Marlinga, Emily Tribble, Brent Tribble, Kristen Owen, Lori Sadler, Bill, Mike, and Brian Chuff;
great-grandchildren, Toni, Donavon, Alexis, Elizabeth, Ryan, Sarah, Natalie, Ellie, Dominic, Harper, Lexi and James;
sister, Betty Williams and sister-in-law, Celeste Willyerd.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald, on October 17, 2006.
