ABEE, Kathy Jo “Boogie” (LaFaver) - Of Flint, age 64, died Saturday, November 23, 2013 at her residence.
Visitation 12pm Wednesday until the time of the service at the funeral home.
Funeral service will be held 3pm Wednesday, November 27, 2013
at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint,
Chaplain Don Bennett officiating.
Per Kathy’s wishes, cremation will take place following the service.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Muscular Dystrophy Association.
Kathy was born in Flint on October 6, 1949, the daughter of the late Leo and Gloria (Sloan) LaFaver and was a resident of the Flint area all of her life. Kathy retired from General Motors Flint Metal Fab and was a member of UAW Local #659,
Surviving are daughter, Tina Buckner of Flint;
granddaughter, Brittany and husband Don Meyer of Clio;
grandson, Blake Buckner of Flint;
great-granddaughter, Aviyah;
sisters, Linda and husband David Bailey of Davenport, FL;
Kelly and husband Al Ferry of Howell, MI
and four nephews, Davey, Joe, Ryan and Kevin.
She was preceded in death by her son, Tim Scott Cook.
