KINZIE, JoAn Nancy (Skripy) – Of Burton, age 74, passed peacefully in her sleep at home Wednesday, August 28, 2019 in Burton.
JoAn was born in Cass City, Michigan on December 9, 1944, the daughter of the late Steve and Elizabeth (Luana) Skripy of Deford, Michigan. JoAn grew up on the family farm on Crawford Road with a strong sense of family. JoAn had resided in the Burton area since the 1970’s. She was joined in marriage to Bruce Allen Kinzie on April 11, 1964 at St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Wilmont, Michigan. JoAn was a fun-loving, vivacious, and generous person who always loved her family. JoAn and Al spent over three decades as summer-time residents of Leisure Lake in Durand, MI. She always enjoyed sharing her lake experience with her family through boating, bingo, and lake celebrations with Golf Cart Parades.
She leaves to cherish her memory her husband of over fifty-five years, Al;
Children, Annie and Joe Hansen of Davison and Allen and Jaime Kinzie of Columbus, OH;
Grandchildren, Christopher, and JoAnna;
Beloved sister, Mary (Skripy) Kozan;
Sister-in-law, Tollice Skripy.
JoAn also left numerous nephews and nieces who will cherish their memories of her with joy and love.
Preceding her in death are loved ones, brother, Steve Skripy, sisters, Shirley (Skripy) Hayward, Janet and Judy Skripy, and brother-in-law, Andrew Louis Kozan.
She enjoyed her Leisure Lake close friends, Jerri, Betty, Joan, Barb and Lynn.
JoAn has left her mark on this world with her ray of sunshine.
JoAn has asked to be cremated with no services at this time.
