Fred Bryan Jr., age 89 of Chippewa Lake formerly of Swartz Creek, passed away Wednesday, June 12, 2024. He was born in Flint on December 27, 1934, the son of the late Fred and Hannah (Aschley) Bryan. Fred attended Northern High School in Flint and went to trade school.
He Married Marcia Fuller on May 12, 1956, and together they raised their family in Swartz Creek. Fred was a member of Swartz Creek Masonic Lodge 458. He retired in 1991 from General Motors as a Skilled Tradesman. Fred and Marcia then moved to Chippewa Lake, where he enjoyed swimming and fishing, and they wintered in Florida. Fred looked forward to being outside tending to his vegetable
and flower garden and watching the birds. He loved hunting especially elk and mule deer out west.
Fred is survived by his wife of 68 years, Marcia; three children, David, Steve (Linda), and Julie (Mark) Thompson; five grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; sister, Joyce Duncan (Simon Rashotte); and several nieces, nephews, and
extended family. He was preceded in death by four siblings, John “Jack” Bryan, Doris Thiem,
William “Bill” Bryan, and Marlene Howd.
Cremation has taken place and there are no services planned at this time.
