HOPP, Daniel John – of Burton, MI, age 73, passed away Monday, November 27, 2017 at his residence. A Private Service will be held.
Daniel was born in Lodi, OH on February 7, 1944, son of the late John and Elizabeth (Jakab) Hopp. He married Ivola M. Press in Flint, MI on December 29, 1973 and she preceded him in death on August 19, 2013. He retired from General Motors in Flint, MI and Copeland Corporation in Sydney, OH. Daniel was an IndyCar and other open wheel racing fan. He also enjoyed reading and traveling.
Daniel is survived by 3 children, Kenneth Bert Thompson, David Bryan Thompson and Lori (Kevin Thibeault) Thompson; 2 grandchildren, Zachary (Caitlin) Rose and Dezirae Rose; 2 great-grandchildren, Colton and Gloriana Rose; many other loving family members and friends.
