ADKISSON, MOLLIE L.– Of Flint, age 88, died Thursday, August 8, 2019
at her residence.
Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, August 12, 2019 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Pastor Carl Petty officiating.
Burial in Evergreen Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
Visitation 1-8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
Mollie was born in Poplar Bluff, Missouri on April 5, 1931, the daughter of the late James and Edith (Sneathern) Humphries.
She married Charles Carr and he preceded her in death in 1950 and then married Clifford Lewis Adkisson and he preceded her in death in 2003.
She was a member of Heritage Baptist Church.
Mollie co-owned A & S Sons Heating, Inc. for many years with her husband.
Surviving are 7 children, Cathy Carr, Carol (Terry) Gouine, James (Alyce) Adkisson, David (Pamela) Adkisson, Ronald Adkisson, Jerry (Debra) Adkisson and Michael (Susie) Adkisson;
13 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren, 16 great-great-grandchildren;
She was preceded in death by her husbands; great-great-grandchildren, Savanna and Emmett.
