Dan Hart, age 73, of Kingston, passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 8, 2020 at Autumnwood in Deckerville, MI. Dan was born on July 22, 1946, in Brown City, Mi, the son of Clinton and Grace (Sholes) Hart. Dan grew up in the Oxford area and was a 1966 graduate of Oxford High School. On June 24, 1966, he married Maxine Arms in Lum. MI. Dan attended barber college. He worked as a barber in the Holly and Ortonville area. He retired as a custodian after 36 years from Lake Orion School. He loved the school, telling everyone he had 300-400 children and 30 wives. Dan loved to draw, paint, and rock hunting. He polished agate and petosky stones. He made jewelry and belt clips with his stones. He enjoyed the archery competitions with his sons and friends.
Dan is survived by his wife, Maxine; his sons, John of Kingston,MI, Kevin of Oxford, MI and Tim of Oxford, MI; his granddaughter, Desiree Powers; many cousins, aunts and uncles. Dan is preceded in death by parents.
Family will be present for visitation on Friday, March 13, 2020, 3:00 P.M.-8:00 P.M. at Blackburn Chapel-Martin Funeral Home. On Saturday, March 14, 2020, visitation will be 11:00 A.M.-12:00 P.M. with funeral service at 12:00 P.M. at Blackburn Chapel-Martin Funeral Home. Pastor Joseph Schierlinger will be officiating. Dan will be laid to rest at West Burlington Cemetery at a later date.
