PRAY, Cecil E. “Jr.”– of Mt. Morris, age 69, died Saturday, September 21, 2013 at Birchwood Meadows in Mt. Morris. Funeral services will be held at 1PM Wednesday, September 25, 2013 at the O’Guinn Family Funeral Home in Clio. Rev. Keith McKinnies officiating. Cremation to follow. Inurnment will be held at a later date in Great Lakes National Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday from 5-8PM and Wednesday from 11AM until the time of service at 1PM. Contributions may be made to Birchwood Meadows.
Cecil was born in Flint on May 29, 1944 to the late Cecil Sr. and Bernice (Slaght) Pray. He graduated from Clio High School in 1963 and received his 5 year Journeyman Certificate for Patternmaking from GMI. Cecil served in the U.S. Army and was a Vietnam Veteran. He retired in 1997 from GM Grey Iron with 30 years seniority. He was a member of the International Association of Machinists. Jr. enjoyed hunting, fishing, nature photography, sports and farming.
Surviving are: siblings, Howard (Joyce) Pray, William (Sally) Pray, Charles (Sharon) Pray, Marjorie Earns, Joyce Bomorra; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
