Wright, Marilyn J. – of Frankenmuth, formerly of Flint, age 67, died Tuesday, June 13, 2017, at her residence. Funeral services will be held at 2 PM, Saturday, June 17, 2017, at the O'Guinn Family Funeral Home in Montrose. Don O'Guinn officiating. Burial to follow in Montrose Township Cemetery. The family will receive visitors at the funeral home on Saturday from 10 AM until the time of the service at 2 PM.
Marilyn was born November 21, 1949, in Flint, Michigan to the late Walter and Pearl (Prast) Thompson. She graduated from Ainsworth High School in 1967 and had resided in Flint most of her life. Marilyn also graduated from Baker College in 1990. She was an active member of the Red Hat Society and was a former Girl Scout leader. Marilyn was also a former member of the Flint Township Fire Dept. Ladies Auxiliary. She was a bargain shopper and enjoyed sewing and crochet. She especially loved spending time with her grandchildren and attending their sporting events.
Surviving are: 3 children: Coreena (Steve) Robertson of Clarkston, Denelle Benner of Frankenmuth, and Lloyd Wright of Flint; Grandchildren: Darien, Brayene, Devin, Koeltehn, Paighton, Kyle, Noah, and Makayla; Sister, Juanita "Pug" Hromek of Montrose; Brother, Walter (Pam) Thompson of Clio; Nieces and nephews: Coetta, Carla, Toni Sue, Butch, and Alicia; Special cousin, Tenia; Special friends: MaryAnn, Ina, Cathi, and the Wright and Peck families.
