Curtis Alan McLosky
Curt McLosky of Corunna unexpectedly passed away on September 20, 2024 at the age of 67.
Curt was born May 9, 1957 in Owosso to Clyde and Barbara (Wenzel) McLosky. A 1975 graduate of Corunna High School, Curt attended Northern Michigan University. He worked for General Motors as a Skilled Tradesman for 37 Years. Curt married Bobbi (Vizi) on September 13, 1980. They had just celebrated their 44th anniversary.
He leaves behind his wife, 2 daughters, Rachel (David) Crawford of Rogers, Arkansas and Megan (Ryan) Berry of Grand Blanc; 4 grandchildren, Westin, Britney, Braxton, and Miles; siblings Edward (Janis) McLosky and Gale (Dirk) Rennick, brother-in-law Paul Vining, sister-in-law Janet (Gale) Criner, many nieces and nephews and special friend, Greg Vito. He was predeceased by his parents, Clyde and Barbara McLosky, and sister Cheryl Vining.
Curt was an avid hunter and fisherman, with a passion for the outdoors and wildlife. He had a special enthusiasm for archery and cycling, collecting traditional archery equipment and bicycles. He loved to tell stories about hunting, fishing, Detroit sports, and just about anything that would make a crowd laugh. He was always starting a new hobby and knew a little bit about everything.
Curt and Bobbi enjoyed spending time at their cabin at Higgins Lake, riding on their pontoon, and taking road trips all across Michigan, particularly the Upper Peninsula. Curt especially loved his time with his grandchildren. He was always cheering them on at their sporting events, taking them fishing, playing euchre, foraging for mushrooms, swimming, driving around looking for deer, and going out for ice cream. He filled their lives with joy and laughter.
Curt will be remembered for his infectious laugh, great smile, remarkable memory, and ability to talk to anyone. He will be deeply missed by his family and all who knew him.
A memorial service will be held at Nelson-House Funeral Home in Owosso on Saturday, September 28 at 11:00am. Afterwards, from 12-3pm, the family invites friends to celebrate his life by sharing stories, eating, and drinking beers, just as Curt would have wanted, at the Shiawassee Conservation Society (Commonly known as the Conservation Club) 4247 M-52, Owosso.
