On August 7, 2015, Reva Irene Burch, of Mt. Morris having put off this ?corruptible to put on incorruption, and this mortal to put on immortality,? left this life to be rejoined with her father Raymond L. Harris, mother Helen “Johnnie” Harris and her husband Gilmer Earl Humphreys in the awaiting arms of her Lord and Redeemer, Jesus Christ. Born in 1946, a lifelong Michigan resident, she gave her heart to Christ at a young age and was currently a member of Immanuel Baptist Church in Corunna Michigan. She attended college at Lexington Baptist College. Married to Gilmer in 1968 and widowed that same year when her husband gave his life in service to his country. Employed as a caregiver in the Flint area she provided comfort & companionship for many seniors in their last days. Reva enjoyed spending time with her family, shopping, reading her Bible and telling others of her faith and the need of salvation through Christ alone. Survived by her sister and brother-in-law Renee & Mike Ellithorpe of Burton, her two sons and their wives, Gil & Kerrie Humphreys of Owosso and Scott & Rita Burch of Flushing. Four granddaughters, Samantha, Amanda and Kayla Humphreys and Alaina Burch and numerous brothers & sisters in Christ. Reva will be greatly missed. Funeral services will be held at Immanuel Baptist Church at 11am on Tuesday, August 11, 2015. Visitation will be at Nelson-House Funeral Home on Sunday from 3pm to 8pm, Monday from 11am to 2pm and 4 to 8pm and at the church on Tuesday from 10am until the time of service. Special thanks to those who lovingly cared for Reva in her final months, her niece Kim Goins of Clio, Ted Nagy and Kori Yeager of Heart to Heart Hospice.
