Long, Clifford E. "Kip" – of Clio, age 80, died Sunday, March 13, 2016, at his residence. Funeral services will be held at 1 PM, Thursday, March 17, 2016, at the O'Guinn Family Funeral Home in Clio. Kimberly Baker will officiate. Burial to follow in Thetford Township Cemetery. The family will receive visitors at the funeral home on Wednesday from 5-9 PM and Thursday from 12 PM until time of service. Memorial contributions may be made to McLaren Hospice. Clifford was born May 28, 1935, in Flint, Michigan to the late Donald and Viola (Sedlow) Long. He married Patsy Ruth Campbell on September 1, 1956. She preceded him in death on September 25, 2011. Kip retired from Buick Motor Division – Plant 36 in 1992 with 35 years of service. He was a member of UAW Local 599. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and all outdoor activities. He also loved to take his grandchildren camping at Burt Lake. Surviving are: Children: Tracy (Don) Short of Clio, Kimberly (Kevin) Baker of Kalamazoo, Raedene (Robert) Nelson of Vassar, and Clifford (Luann) Long of Clio; 9 grandchildren: Danny, Nicole, Alexis, Nikki, A.J., Vanessa, Betty, Lou, Tommy, and Yonica; 11 great-grandchildren; Kip was also preceded in death by his son, Darin, granddaughter, Tiffany, brothers: Bob, Donald, Kenneth, and Ray and sister, Carol.
