GUNTER, Richard – of Davison, MI, age 63, returned to the arms of his loving Savior on Wednesday, June 24, 2020. A Funeral Service will be held 1:00 PM Tuesday, June 30, 2020 at Emmanuel Baptist Church, 6434 Richfield Road, Flint. Pastor Jack Dowden officiating. Burial will be in Flint Memorial Park cemetery. Family will receive visitors from 11 AM – 7 PM Monday, June 29, 2020 and 10 AM until the time of service Tuesday, June 30, 2020 at Emmanuel Baptist Church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be considered to Emmanuel Baptist Church.
Richard Lee Gunter was born in Flint on June 26, 1956, son of the late Jesse C. and Betty J. (Kinna) Gunter. He married Linda Eubanks on August 21, 1981 in Flint. Rick was a mailman from 1986 until he retired in 2017. He served in many capacities at Emmanuel Baptist Church most notably in the AWANA program for over 35 years. Rick loved camping with his wife and family.
Rick leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife of 38 years, Linda Gunter; three children, Robert J. Gunter, Sally J. Gunter, Angela L. (Jordan) Petersen; three grandchildren, Eric, Anastasia, Amelia with one more on the way; brother, James Gunter and many other loving family and friends. He was preceded in death by parents, Jesse and Betty Gunter.
