Thomas J. Sweeney, age 88, of Columbiaville died September 10, 2015 at home surrounded by his loving family.
Thomas was born September 19, 1926 in Oxford, the son of the late James and Ida Sweeney ( Gould ). He later married Phyllis Sweet.
Thomas served his country honorably in the U.S. Army Air Corp, and was a past member of the Columbiaville United Methodist Church. He enjoyed bowling, horseshoes, fly fishing, pheasant hunting, but most of all spending time with his family and friends. Thomas is survived by his children: Thomas ( Patricia ) Sweeney,
Teresa ( Richard ) Davenport, Mike ( Angela ) Sweeney, Marc ( Tina ) Sweeney, siblings: Eileen Ciardello and Judith Baker.
He is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Phyllis,
and numerous sisters and brothers. Cremation has taken place and private memorial service has been held.
