CLINTON, Phyllis Berdinia – Of Burton, age 90, died Monday, February 18, 2013 at Hurley Medical Center.
Celebration of Life will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, February 23, 2013 at Redwood Steakhouse & Brewery, formerly Redwood Lodge.
Phyllis was born on October 27, 1922 in Xenia, Ohio, the daughter of Esther (Edwards) and William Osman and resided in Fenton, Michigan for 51 years.
She married Duane I. Clinton on October 30, 1943 and they were married for 56 years.
Mrs. Clinton worked 5 years at GM and worked at several bowling establishments.
She became involved in Flint WIBC and National Women’s Bowling Congress Association. She coached youth bowling for many years and was Secretary of numerous Adult leagues in the area, including Senior League for over 60 years.
Upon retirement she resided at Lockwood of Burton, where she enjoyed playing cards, Bingo, Rummikub and trips to the Casino. Her greatest loves were her grandkids and the Swartz Creek Race Track.
Surviving are daughter, Ramona and husband Dave Marx of Appleton, WI;
son, Robin and wife Susan Clinton of Davison, MI;
daughter-in-law, Rosie Clinton of Shelbyville, KY;
7 grandchildren, Anthony and Ted Marx,
Chad, Caitlin, Lisa, Duane and Nicholas Clinton;
6 step-grandchildren, Christian, Ana, Mario, Sergio, Jason and Gabrielle;
4 great-grandchildren;
sisters-in-law, Margaret Clinton and Audrey Osman;
brother-in-law, William Dawson;
numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by husband, Duane I. Clinton; sons, Duane I. Clinton II, and Phillip D. Clinton; parents, Esther and William Osman; sister, Esther Moriarity; brothers, Stanley and William Osman.
She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
