MASON, Edwin L. III – of Birch Run, age 54 died Monday, August 10, 2020 at his residence. Family will receive friends from 2-8 PM Thursday August 13, 2020 at O’Guinn Family Funeral Home, Birch Run Chapel. Due to Covid 19 and government regulations, only 10 people are permitted in our chapel at one time and masks must be worn. Memorial contributions can be made to the family for future designation, or to the charity of your choice.
Edwin was born April 30, 1966 in Flint, Michigan to Edwin L. and Rose (Lavene) Mason Jr. He grew up most of his life in the Birch Run area where he also attended high school, graduating with the Class of 1984. After high school Edwin and his brother Jeff started their own eavestrough and roofing business. He was a pipe fitter for over 30 years and for the past 3 years was employed with Kuka Manufacturing in Sterling Heights. He was a huge supporter of the Ram Chargers Wrestling Club and was an avid hunter, both bow and gun, where he tried to hit the woods as much as possible.
Surviving are his dearest children: Ashley (Corey Madden) Mason and Austin Mason, loving mother Rose Mary Mason, brothers: Harold (Jennie) Mason and Bradley Mason, uncle: Dallas Lavene, along with several nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and friends. He was preceded in death by his father Edwin Mason Jr., his brother Jeffrey Mason and grandparents Roy and Beatrice Lavene.
