ALM, Daniel C. -Of Glennie and Flint, age 85, died Sunday, May 28, 2017 at Genesee Care Center.
Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, June 1, 2017 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road.
Burial in Flint Memorial Park with a military service.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
Visitation 4-8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Daniel was born in Mt. Morris, Michigan on February 8, 1932, the son of Harry and Hazel Alm and was a resident of Grand Blanc for 32 years before moving to Glennie in 1995.
He served in the U.S. Army Engineers during the Korean Conflict.
He married Jean Matlock in 1963.
Mr. Alm was employed by Stevens Moving and Storage for 40 years, retiring in 1989.
Surviving are his nephews, Robert (Marie) Alm, Robert (Susan) Kraus and David Helzer;
nieces, Judith (Neil) Potter and Deborah (Mike) Miller;
many great-nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife,Jean, on December 26, 2013;
parents; sister, Marge Helzer and brother, Robert Alm.
