COSELMON, Duane A. – Of Byron, age 81, died Thursday, October 2, 2014
at his residence.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Monday, October 6, 2014 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 9450 Duffield Road, Gaines, Father Jeff Poll officiating.
Burial in New Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Joseph Parish Gaines Memorial Fund, 9450 Duffield Road, Gaines or Lansing Home Hospice, 2815 S. Pennsylvania Ave, Ste. 4 Lansing, MI 48910.
Visitation 2-8 p.m. Sunday at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road. A Rosary will be prayed at 7 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
Mr. Coselmon will be at the church from 9:30 a.m. Monday until the time of the Mass.
Duane was born in Flint, MI on November 30, 1932, the son of the late Russell and Geraldine Coselmon Loomis.
He married Beatrice Pratt on October 11, 1952
He was a member of St. Joseph Parish in Gaines. He enjoyed birdwatching, watching tv, bow hunting, fishing and swimming.
Mr. Coselmon was employed by GM for 42 years, retiring in 1992.
Survived by his three children, Christopher and wife Susan Coselmon,
Dennis Coselmon and
Diana Bodette;
three grandchildren, Adam and wife Rachel Coselmon,
Martha and husband Sean Matuszak and
David Bodette;
three great-grandchildren, Sophia and Declan Coselmon and Cole Matuszak;
sister, Linda Seward;
brothers-in-law, John Arthur (Art) Pratt
many nieces, nephews and family.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Beatrice, on August 1, 2008.
