Dotson, Betty Celia age 76 died November 19, 2015 at U of M Hospital, Ann Arbor. Funeral service will be held 11 am, Wednesday, November 25, 2015 at Faith Tabernacle Church, 1225 S. Center Rd., Burton, MI. Pastor Ed Norton officiating. Burial in Dawn Cemetery, Lapeer. Family will receive visitors Tuesday, November 24, from 12-3 pm and 5-8 pm at The New Dawn Chapel, 1569 S. Elba Rd., Lapeer, MI. Betty graduated from Lapeer High School, 1958. She was joined in marriage to David Dotson, November 5, 1976 in Lapeer, MI. Betty was a member of Faith Tabernacle Church and loved going on trips. She volunteered for various church activities including funeral dinners, singles group, Sunday School classes, and taught in the daycare. Betty loved gardening, flowers, traveling and camping. She was one of the first Committee Chairman for the Boy Scouts, member of the Order of the Eastern Star and Jobs Daughters. Betty loved her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She is survived by husband David, children David(Terri) Caldwell, Linda(Roy) Schukowsky, Debbie(Michael) Francis, Jay(Dotti) Caldwell, Art(Teresa) Caldwell; 14 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and many other family members. Betty was preceded in death by her parents Arthur and Maude Bricker, and 2 brothers.
