REAMS, Marie – of Davison, age 92, passed away Monday, December 9, 2019. A Funeral Service will be held 1 PM Friday, December 13, 2019 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Rd., Davison, MI 48423. Private burial will be in Davison Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10AM until the time of the service on Friday. Memorial contributions may be made to St Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
Marie was born in Flint, MI, the daughter of the late Henry and Alberta (Sincock) Verkennes. She married Tom Reams, Jr. on June12, 1948 and he preceded her in death on February 9, 1989. Marie worked as a Ward Clerk for 15 years at St. Joseph Hospital in Flint and 17 years at St. Cloud Hospital in St. Cloud, Florida. She loved to sew, bowl and watch her “Soaps”. Marie enjoyed cooking meals for her children and traveling to the casinos. Her ham rolls at holiday parties were perfection!
Marie is survived by her daughters, Sandy (Bruce) Williams and Marsha (Bob) Rachwitz; grandchildren, Bruce Williams, Leslie (Steve) Clark, Craig (Lisa) Rachwitz; great-grandchildren, Kelston, Austin, Avery, Olivia, Sawyer, Landry, Lillian and Ellaina. She was also preceded in death by sisters, Phylliss Ellsworth, Viola Moore, Ailien Schank and Delores McIntosh.
The family would like to thank the staffs at Heartland Hospice and Heartland Briarwood. A special thank you to her niece, Jenean Kleinedler.
