Green, Elizabeth of Flushing, age 89, died Saturday, January 24, 2015. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Thursday, January 29, 2015, at Rossell Funeral Home. Burial will follow at New Calvary Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be 3-8 p.m. Wednesday and 10-11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home. If desired, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
Elizabeth was born in Moffitt, Pennsylvania on December 28, 1925, the daughter of George and Esther (Baraty) Iski. She married Maxwell Green in Flint on June 5, 1945. He preceded her in death on February 19, 1994. Elizabeth worked for 38 years at General Motors. She was a member of All Saints Catholic Church. Elizabeth loved shopping, decorating and trips to Tim Hortons, but her greatest joy was her family.
She is survived by her children, Deborah Gardner, Steven and wife Cindy Green, Janice and husband Roger Kashmerick, Lisa and husband Dave Witzman; grandchildren, Melissa (Mike) Cain, Stephanie (Jeremy) Kafton, Christopher (Jillian) Green, Ryan (Erica) Kashmerick, Kelly (Greg) McDonald, Ashley (Zach) Smith, Jonathan Witzman; great-grandchildren, Haley, Hannah, Audrey, Lauren, Brady, Ella, Francesco, Mariella, Luciana; sister, Esther Iski; sister-in-law, Shirley Iski; many nieces and nephews. Elizabeth was preceded in death by her parents; son, Michael Green; son-in-law, Gary Gardner; brothers, George, John, Frank, Steve and Joe Iski; nephews, Paul Iski and George Iski, Jr.
