MALLOY, James G. – of Clio, age 83, went peacefully home to be with his Lord October 17, 2014. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10AM on Wednesday, October 22, 2014 at Saints Charles and Helena Catholic Church in Clio. Rev. Fr. Bob McGraw officiating. Burial to follow in Thetford Twp. Cemetery. Friends may call at the O'Guinn Family Funeral Home in Clio on Tuesday from 12PM until 8PM, a scripture service will be held at 6PM. Mr. Malloy will lie in state at the church on Wednesday from 9AM until the time of Mass at 10AM. Contributions may be made to Saints Charles and Helena Catholic Church.

James was born on December 8, 1930 in Flint, Michigan to the late Edward J. and Ida O. (Goss) Malloy. He was a 1948 graduate of St. Mary's Catholic High School in Mt. Morris. James married Lena Carol Daly on July 22, 1950 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Mt. Morris. Mr. Malloy was a U.S. Air Force Veteran and served during the Korean War from 1951 until 1955. James retired from Chevrolet and was a member of the UAW Local #659. He was a member Saints Charles and Helena Catholic Church. In his early years, James enjoyed hunting, fishing, growing fruits and vegetables and ballroom dancing. He loved his dogs through the years, Mitzi and Sandy and enjoyed training and showing. Above all, James enjoyed spending time with his loving wife, children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Surviving are: wife, Carol Malloy; 4 children, James D. (Hilda) Malloy, Patricia (Brad) Lang, Lauretta Massey, Mike (Lucy) Malloy; 10 grandchildren, Jason, Brian, Vanessa, Julie, Carolena, Jenny, Michael, Adam and Tony; many great grandchildren; Brother, Eugene Malloy of Dunedin, Florida; sister, Elaine McCormick of Dunedin, Florida; numerous nieces and nephews. James was preceded in death by his son, Gary Allan Malloy; grandson, Michael Rossiter; sister, Verlie Lilly and brother, Max Malloy.
