Earlene M. Wooton age 84 of Durand passed away Monday, January 14, 2019 at Pleasant View in Corunna. Funeral services will be 10:30 AM on Thursday, January 17, 2019 at Watkins Brothers Funeral Homes, Durand Chapel. Family will receive friends on Wednesday from 4-8 PM and one hour prior to the service.
Earlene Clymer was born October 23, 1934 in Durand, a daughter of Earl and Myrtle (Shepard) Clymer. On March 5, 1955 she married John Wooton. Earlene was a member of the First Congregational Church in Durand. She enjoyed gardening, reading, sewing, playing piano, accompanying high school band and choir solos, and watching her children and grandchildren play sports. Prior to her retirement in 1996, she had been employed by Simplicity for 42 years as a credit manager.
Earlene is survived by her husband, John Wooton; children, Sharna (Tim) LeCureux, Brian (Lynne) Wooton, Brad (Kim) Wooton and Corey (Cindy) Wooton; grandchildren, Chris, Cassidy, Brianne, Brent, Bryce, Andra, Derek, Steven, Bobby, Kelsey, and Emily; 17 great grandchildren; and brother, Curt (Shari) Clymer. She was preceded in death by her parents, Earl and Myrtle Clymer; sister, Sue; granddaughter, Cortney; special brother-in-law, Jerry Wooton; and son-in-law, Greg.
Memorial Contributions in Earlene's name are suggested to the First Congregational Church in Durand or the Alzheimer's Association. |
